Driving Authorization

In order to use university vehicles, each MSE student must complete a Student Driver Authorization Form and get a Notarized Statement of Driver Record, available for download below. If approved, a Driver Authorization Card will be issued. You are required to carry this card with you whenever you drive a university vehicle.

A student must have at least two years of licensed driving experience in order to be eligible for the Driver Authorization Card. There are no exceptions to this rule. The MSE Program and UW Risk Management reserve the right to deny any student a Driver Authorization Card or an appeal.
